1. Private by design

KODAYUKI is built around pseudonymization. Pet data (name, breed, weight, photos, records) is stored against a random identifier. Personal information that identifies you (email, first name) is kept in a separate table and only linked when strictly necessary to operate the Service.

2. What we collect

• Account: email and first name.
• Pet data: species, name, breed, birthday, sex, optional vet contact, optional medical history uploads, habit logs.
• Essential cookies and sign-in tokens.
• No third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

3. Where your data lives

Data is hosted on EU infrastructure. We will only ever transfer data outside the EU/EEA where covered by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards under GDPR Chapter V. (Hosting region to be confirmed in production before public launch.)

4. Children & age of consent

Malta sets the age of digital consent at 13. You must be 13 or older to create an account. Children under 13 may not useKODAYUKI.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR you can access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and object to certain uses. Email us at privacy@KODAYUKI.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) at idpc.org.mt.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. On deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days; pseudonymized aggregate logs may be retained for security and legal obligations.
